Blogging on the Go

So once upon a time, I got a new phone. A smart phone. Which ups the number of technological devices in my collection that are probably smarter than me. Including my pouty tablet that seems to have decided that it's not going to be friends with its charge cord anymore and won't turn on until I can find the friendlier charge cord buried somewhere in my luggage. Yeah. I might be annoyed by the mood swings of my technology.

Anyway, my point is that I have a phone that is smart. And I'm writing this post on it. Which for some dumb reason (remember, my gadgets are smarter than me) is ridiculously exciting. So I'm rambling just because I can. Anywhere. Anytime. There is no escape.

Actually, this may help my blogging. Theoretically, my brilliant ideas might actually get written down. We'll see. On the flip side, you may get more pointless ramblings like this one. It's a two-edged sword.

In the meantime, I'm quite content with my great gadgets of... greatness. I can't come up with anything more clever than that at the moment.

Here's some things my smart phone has taught me:
1. Checking Facebook and email on my computer is even more anticlimactic than it was before, because my phone instantly tells me when something new happens.

2. My phone is creepily good at turning the gibberish word my fingers can't type (because I hit five keys instead of one) into the word I actually want. Its reading my mind.

3. GPS is a brilliant invention.

4. Angry Birds is overrated. The birds just go for a joyride, and I get angry instead. The dictionary.com app, however? Totally awesome. I use it all the time. Yes I'm nerdy. Be cool with it.

5. Calendars=awesome. I haven't had this much schedule organization since my goofy, gimmicky planners in middle school. And I actually remember stuff. Whoa. Why didn't I think of it earlier?

6. My phone is the immortal fairy godmother of smart phones. It will not die. Seriously, I can't drain the battery on this thing unless I watch Netflix for two days straight. I may be underestimating that, even.

7. The only thing my phone seemingly can't do is find me a handsome prince.

Yeah yeah, I know I'm late on the smart phone bandwagon. Make fun of me for being a country bumpkin if you want. Short story long: technology is great.

Love it. Love you. Love, me.

Dear Blog,

I still love you. Promise. But I'm distracted by a need for a cuddly bag of hot rice on my tummy and chocolate for my tongue. I'll get back to you when my body stops thinking it needs to stage all-out war just because it wants to remind me that I am, in fact, a woman.

Much love and slightly grouchy kisses,

Me
